Role Overview
Are you ready to spend your summer inspiring young minds and exploring the great outdoors? Wild Roots Montessori is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and responsible individuals to join our summer camp team as a Camp Counselor.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise small groups of children aged 3-6 during daily activities and outdoor adventures.

Assist with planning and implementing engaging, hands-on activities, including nature exploration, crafts, games, and water play.

Foster a safe, inclusive, and fun environment that aligns with Montessori principles.

Encourage curiosity, independence, and collaboration among campers.

Help children explore and learn through nature-based experiences, including environmental science, sensory play, and outdoor experiments.

Ensure camper safety during all activities and promptly address any issues or concerns.

Set up and clean up materials for daily activities and help maintain an organized camp environment.

Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and campers to create a supportive camp experience.
Qualifications

A passion for working with young children and a love for the outdoors.

Previous experience in child care, education, or camp counseling is a plus.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to remain energetic, patient, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.

Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the start of camp).

Must be 18 years or older.
